Rare Baseball Card Sells for Record-Breaking Price
PSA-Graded Hank Aaron Rookie Card Fetches $1.05 Million at Auction
Goldin Auctions Secures Sale of Highly Sought-After Collectible
A rare and highly coveted 1954 Topps Hank Aaron rookie baseball card, graded NM 7 by Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA), has sold for a record-breaking $1.05 million at auction. The sale was conducted by Goldin Auctions, an industry-leading sports memorabilia auction house.
The card, which is considered one of the most iconic and valuable in the hobby, features a full-color portrait of Aaron in his Milwaukee Braves uniform. It is one of only 16 PSA-graded NM 7 Aaron rookie cards known to exist, making it an extremely rare find.
The sale of the card marks a significant milestone in the sports memorabilia market. It surpassed the previous record for an Aaron rookie card, which was set in 2020 when a PSA 9-graded example sold for $922,500.
The sale of the card also reflects the growing popularity and value of vintage sports memorabilia. As more collectors seek out rare and valuable pieces, prices for high-end collectibles continue to rise.
